65672 Merrick (provisional designation: 1988 QD) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Carolyn S. Shoemaker and Eugene Merle Shoemaker at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County, California, on August 16, 1988. It is named after Dawson Tate Merrick, an Arizona boy who suffered from leukemia and died in 2009.
